Overview: If you have Alpha Bravo, Vortex, or Blades then you basically know what you are getting. If not then you have two nice copter bots. One thing I do wish is that blades would have received the remolded hands. I understand that Blades is a murder machine, but he is still a rescue copter. Back to the topic at hand; the twins do have the ability to scramble, becoming either arms or legs. One issue I will note is that following the fiction makes it impossible to know which figure is which. The box, instructions, and comics constantly switch the bots.

Articulation: Articulation: The articulation on these ladies is pretty good. I will start from the head down. The head is on a ball joint with 360 degree rotation with excellent tilt to the back and serviceable left, right, and forward tilt. The shoulders have 360 degree rotation with 90 degree outward motion.

At the elbow exists 360 degree rotation with a 90 degree ratcheted bend forward and back due to the transformation. The hands are molded in and do not rotate. The bots also have a 360 degree waist rotation. Starting at the hips, the legs have 90 degree outward and forward movement. The rear movement is slightly hampered by the backpack. The bots also Lack ankle tilts.

Build Quality: As with the other CW figures I found the quality to be good be good. The only real complaint I have happens to deal with the waist. There is a small V shaped notch on the top of the groin and a bump at the bottom of the waist to keep the figures waist from freely spinning. It’s a nice touch but one of the twins actually gets caught when rotating from left to right. Besides that I did not notice any obvious stress marks and everything holds together fairly well.

Paint Applications Paint applications, I think, are as expected for a box set. The colors are duller than what was seen at bot con. Actually having the figure in hand I kind of wished we had the more vibrant color pallet. That said I am not hateful of what we got. Starting with the head of the twins, I love the paint apps and head sculpt. The heads remind me of military helicopter pilots with the helmets. The faces are primarily mint green with Red and silver highlights. And on “Skyburst?” the optics are a nice blue. Stormclash keeps the same color pattern but sports molded blue aviators.

For here on out I will just talk about Skyburst as Stormclash’s colors/patterns are mirrored. The body as a whole is primarily mint green and red with silver for the cockpit windows and rotor. From what I can tell there is paint on the tail, forearm, red paint on lower legs, and nose cone.

Accessories: As a set I will do a review on the accessories when I look at Victorion as a whole. But generally the twins are seen using the “Wing” swords, which are detailed and painted really nice. I will get to that later.

Transformation Transformation is pretty simple and in my opinion good. The figure does have visible hand syndrome in copter mode but it is not a deal breaker. Basically in CW aerial bot fashion the legs collapse and peg into the lower body, tail folds overhead, and arms peg to the sides. Of course leg mode is the copter stood up vertically with the tail folded down and cockpit folded out with the foot piece pegged in. Arm is just as simple, it is basically the figure in robot mode with the lower legs pegged together.
